These regulations mandate that our aircraft is maintained to the highest standards and our pilots are trained to the highest levels. Vanessa - President and CEO

Vanessa’s passion for aviation started with her first helicopter flight at age 15. She began working as a shipping and receiving clerk for a Scottsdale based helicopter flight operation in 1999, working her way into international parts sales within 3 short years. She moved on to a fixed wing operation as a maintenance administrator to expand her aviation knowledge. She has been an aviation entrepreneur for the last 12 years, owning and operating the family’s multiple aviation-related business. She brings quality business management and a passion for aviation to each guest who flies with Western Sky. She loves running a family owned business with her husband, Chief Pilot Scott, and putting her 3 kids to work around the office! Vanessa loves to travel, read and is a local Girl Scout leader.

Scott - Chief Pilot

Growing up in an aviation family, Scott has been around airplanes and helicopters since he was a child. He boasts over 25 years of experience flying helicopters. With certifications in helicopters, airplanes, gliders, and hot air balloons, he can fly just about anything! He spent much of his career flying for local news stations in the valley, giving him an unsurpassed knowledge of the state and its beautiful landmarks. For the past 8 years he has served as a search-and-rescue pilot for the State of Arizona. Scott loves traveling with his family and friends and is an exceptional barbecuer!

Ryan - Pilot

In Ryan’s 12-year career, he has flown tours all over the state of Arizona and Alaska. He has extensive experience flying tours right out of Scottsdale and in the Grand Canyon, and a vast knowledge of the state after spending years flying for local news stations. Ryan is currently flying for local emergency medical services. In his off time, Ryan is an avid golfer and hikes mountains almost every day!

Cam - Pilot/Director of Operations

Over the past two decades, Cameron’s aviation career has provided him experience in helicopter tourism across the southwest, electronic news gathering and video production flights across the state of Arizona and emergency medical transport throughout the country. In his role as a designated Part 135 Check Airman for the FAA and a certified flight instructor, Cameron has developed and authored pilot training materials and led the instruction of hundreds of helicopter pilots. When not flying he enjoys traveling with his wife and 3 daughters and riding his motorcycles.

Britney - Executive Assistant

Britney joined our team in June 2021 with an extensive background in marketing. She is new to aviation and is enjoying learning about the industry. She loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, traveling, and reading.

Jon - Director of Maintenance

Jon joined Western Sky Aviation, LLC in 2019 as the Director of Maintenance. He is responsible for the aircraft maintenance, reliability, airworthiness, regulatory compliance and value retention of the fleet. Jon brings 27 years of aviation maintenance experience to the company, including 4 years as Director of Maintenance for a private Jet charter company and 9 years as a Regional Maintenance Manager with a prominent Part 135 EMS company. Prior to joining Western Sky, Jon worked as an A&P on general aviation aircraft and also on many types of heavy transport aircraft. He is experienced working on Robinson, Bell, Agusta and Airbus helicopters as well as the Beechcraft King Air, Premier, Falcon 2000 fixed wing aircraft. Jon is a graduate of Chaffey College, and holds an Inspection Authorization. Jon is an avid aviation enthusiast, an aircraft owner himself, he holds a private pilot certificate with an instrument rating. He has been flying for over 35 years and enjoys traveling, preferably piloting his Piper Comanche.
